1 in 6 children in Fairfax
County is hungry

With Fairfax County being one of the wealthiest counties in our nation, it’s surprising to hear that there are a significant number of children who do not have enough food to eat. Because of record inflation and food scarcity, 1 in every 6 children in Fairfax County is suffering from food insecurity.

Pack with Us
What makes the Feed Fairfax 5K so special? Right after you finish your race, you'll be able to pack the food that you funded through your race entry for kids in our county. At the food packing event, we'll be packing Power Packs, which are backpack meals sent home with students who do not get enough food to eat on the weekends. The meals you pack at the race will be delivered to children who need them in the following week.

Western Fairfax Christian Ministries
We envision a community where everyone is housed and fed and experiences God’s love. In 2021, we launched a Free Food Fridge program to provide supplemental fresh nutritious food options to local families at Chantilly and Centreville High School and the Boys & Girls Club of Chantilly.
